Calculus I

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The course seeks to introduce student teachers to the fundamental principles of differential and integral calculus with emphasis on power function and trigonometric functions. The course is designed to give student teachers the opportunity to use their prior mathematical knowledge to justify and validate the principles of calculus by applying both inductive and deductive reasoning. Technology and laboratory activities will be used to develop the concepts and garner students’ appreciation for the course.
