Pre-calculus, as the name implies, is a course that prepares students for Calculus. This course is a hybrid between Algebra 2 and Trigonometry. Students who are successful in this course, are prepared for Calculus; whether, Calculus done in high school or Calculus I at the college level.

As a rule, the prerequisite for this course is Algebra 2. In most cases, the natural progression of this course is Calculus.
