The purpose of Integrated/Algebra 2
The purpose of Integrated/Algebra 2 is to increase students awareness of the importance of mathematics in the modern world. Secondly, the students will become more confident of their ability to work with mathematical concepts and relationships. Thirdly, they will learn how to think systematically and use the precise logic required for mathematical problem solving.
In addition, this course builds on the student’s understanding of basic algebraic and geometrical concepts in the study of more advanced algebraic skills and problem solving. Moreover, students will learn to express real-world problems in algebraic sentences in order to find solutions. Successful completion of the either of these of course will be an indispensable step in preparation for per-calculus or trigonometry, and calculus courses.

Special Note to Integrated/Algebra 2 Students
You may find some of the questions assigned to you very difficult. It is easy when this happen to ask the teacher for help. Remember, that Mathematics is intended to stretch the mind. If you are trying to get physically fit, you do not stop as soon as things get hard. It is the same with mental fitness. Think logically, try harder. You can solve the difficult problems and get the feeling of satisfaction that comes with learning something new.
